Randy A. Garcia is the founder and chief executive officer of the oldest and largest independent investment management consulting firm in Nevada, The Investment Counsel Company. He provides an objective, effective, and expert solution to the increasingly complex dilemma of how to best manage financial assets for foundations, endowments, qualified plans and high net worth families. Since 1978, clients have relied on Randy's assistance to establish realistic financial goals, and implement prudent investment plans to match their specific needs. The Firm's investment policy development, strategic planning, and ongoing account supervision provide critical information and education to facilitate informed client decisions and effective results. Randy has received recognition over the last three decades by BARRON'S, MONEY, Forbes, Wealth Manager, Medical Economics and other media, philanthropic, and community organizations.
Mr. Garcia has been a resident of Las Vegas since 1957, is a 1977 honors graduate of UNLV and has attended post graduate classes at Harvard University and Wharton School of Business. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst, and holds over five National Securities Industry professional licenses.
As an active community leader, he is a Governor Appointee to the Spending and Government Efficiency (SAGE) Commission and serves as a Director on several Boards, including the Nevada Community Foundation, the Council for a Better Nevada, the Nevada State College Foundation and the Las Vegas Area Council of the Boy Scouts. He was honored by the Latin Chamber of Commerce as the 2007 Hispanic of the Year for his philanthropic efforts. He is very involved with establishing and sponsoring enrichment programs in the Clark County School District and the Nevada System of Higher Education to enhance the lives of at-risk youth, with the goal of fostering positive, systemic change in Southern Nevada.
