City National Bank's John Guedry is Resigning
John Guedry was the top executive in Nevada for City National Bank. He is resigning his position at the end of June 2009 in order to seek a position in public service. Some are speculating that Guedry will run for congress. Guedry has lived in Nevada for 35 years, graduate from UNLV, and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He served as CEO of the Business Bank of Nevada for seven years until it was acquired by City National Bank in 2007. Guedry has also worked at the Community Bank of Nevada, Nevada Title Company and Valley Bank of Nevada.
Guedry currently serves on the board of Opportunity Village and the Women's Development Center. He is the past Chairman of the Nevada Bankers Association, a graduate of Leadership Las Vegas and a member of the Nevada Development Authority, the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, UNLV President's Association and the American Heart Association.
Larry Charlton, a long-time banker and the head of operations in Nevada at City National Bank, will serve as the acting manager in Nevada.
John Laub is the President of the CEO-CFO Group.
