New Mega-Nightclub & Restaurant to Open in Las Vegas -August 23rd

The creators of the Tao nightclub, the most successful nightclub and restaurant in the world, are opening up their new nightclub and restaurant, called Lavo at the Palazzo.
Lavo is following the tradition of Paris's most famous nightclub and restaurant, Les Bains Douches which were former Turkish baths. "Les Bains Douches reportedly attracts the coolest, most diverse and starriest clientele of anyplace in Europe," according to UK's Top Table. Lavo plans to be a more modern, smarter, nicer and a more interesting version according to Robin Leach. Lavo will be like an ancient Mediterranean bathhouse with twenty foot ceilings of old wood and low chandeliers, a curved bar, leather seating and Moroccan tables. The restaurant will be highlighted by a glass and wood screened bridge and that will be bordered by a carved stone wall. The nightclub will have vaulted glazed tile arches with a domed ceiling above the dance floor.

The restaurant will serve the best of Mediterranean cuisine by one of Los Angeles' best French chefs, Ludo Lefebvre. He was LA's only chef to earn the prestigious Mobil Travel Guide Five-Star award at two different restaurants: L'Orangerie and Bastide. The 300 seat restaurant includes a 180 seat main dining room, a 20 seat private dining room and 100 seats on the outdoor patio overlooking the Las Vegas Strip.

The 4,500 square foot nightclub will have 40 bottle service tables, a state-of-the-art audio and visual systems and top DJs. The nightclub will be open six nights a week from 10 pm to 5 am. The club and restaurant are opening on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Palazzo.
